Most guys shave their neck like their cheeks—straight down, fast, and with pressure. Problem is, neck hair doesn’t grow one direction.
Before you shave, rub your hand across your stubble in different directions and notice what feels rough. That’s the grain.
- First pass: shave with the grain
- Second pass (optional): shave across the grain
- Avoid: shaving against the grain on the neck unless you know your skin can handle it
